The Scorpion escapes prison to get back at Jonah Jameson and Spider-Man. TheScorpion drinks a toxic chemicalandtrashes Dr. Stillwell's lab. The chemicals mutate the Scorpion into a giant.He captures Jameson, but Spider-Man is able to make the Scorpion drink the antidote.
